Kinda hard to find in Siam square soi 5 the famous isaan food restaurant is located.

I think for some of you a quick info about what Isaan food is might be appropriate, well Isaan or Esarn is the northeastern part of Thailand with Khorat

as its main community. Most of the people there is of Lao origin and therefor the food from this area is still "thaifood" but a nice mix with influences from

other food cultures. Isaan food is usually thought of as quite spicy and Larb is my favorite Isaan dish, Larb is shopped chicken or pork mixed with ground roasted rice, fishsause(nam pla) and lime juice the spices used is (SWE= Citronmelliss) or mint leaf, chili (dried is best for this) and maybe is you want some sugar as well.

Back to soi Siam square nr 5 and the quite decent prices, i cant remember any numbers cause i didn't pay ;-)but i think the prices was decent. The stripped down Thai atmosphere complete with the noses snarveling all around you because of the hot food is great to:-)

A really nice place and if in Bangkok you shouldn't miss it.

Prepare for hot food!!!!

Best,

Frepe
